Eric Ayrault studied history while completing coursework toward his teaching certification. During his time there, he also rowed crew, continuing his family’s connection to the sport, and participated in mountain climbing excursions through the Harvard Mountaineering Club in New Hampshire.

Following graduation, he began his teaching career with positions in Tanzania, France, and Italy, experiences that broadened his perspective on education and adaptability in the classroom. Teaching internationally helped him recognize that while students come from different backgrounds, many of their core educational needs remain the same.

He later earned a master’s degree in speech communication from the University of Washington, further strengthening his ability to help students develop confidence and clarity in communication.

Throughout his career, Ayrault worked in both public and private schools across the United States, focusing primarily on English instruction, student engagement, and college readiness programs. His approach to education emphasized communication, connection, and understanding student motivation before effective learning can take place.

Having spent many years in education, Ayrault witnessed significant changes in the classroom, particularly the growing influence of technology on students’ learning experiences and daily lives.
